Children’s Ministry

“Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.”
Proverbs 22:6

Our Children’s Ministry is a place where children from nursery school age all the way through 5th grade are taught Biblical principles.  Our desire is to partner with parents to raise our children with Godly standards in accordance to His Word.  We use a variety of curriculum to enhance your child’s experience in church. The children are taught how God's Word applies to thier daily lives, to pray, to rely on faith and to put their trust in God. Many of our teachers and helpers have numerous years of experience in Children’s Ministry. We warmly welcome newcomers and visitors.

Our church vision to “Strengthen Families” flows down into our Children’s Ministry.  We strive to accomplish this through the teaching of God’s Word, promoting salvation through Jesus Christ, participating in worship, cultivating Godly friendships, and raising up leaders among our children and youth.

Our Classrooms

Parents are encouraged to ask the teachers about the lessons each week so that you can discuss them with your children and reinforce at home what they have learned in the classroom.  All classes begin after worship when Pastor dismisses the children from the sanctuary, with the exception of our Nursery, which is open at the beginning of each service (9:00 & 10:45).

Nursery: ages newborn - 2 years old

Our Nursery provides a safe and nurturing environment for children from birth through 2 years old.  It is open at the beginning of each service and is adequately staffed with trained volunteers. All children are to be signed in and parents will receive a "ticket" when bringing children into the Nursery. For safety and security reasons we ask that you return this ticket to our Nursery staff when picking up your child.

Veggie Patch: ages 3 - Pre-K

Class begins after worship for both services for pre-school aged children (ages 3-5 who are not yet in Kindergarten). Our teachers and helpers are dedicated to this early childhood development. This class is a great way for our toddlers to learn to interact socially, while receiving engaging Biblical teaching suitable for their age level. This classroom is combined with our Nursery for our Wednesday evening service at 7:00 pm.

Heir Force Room: K-2nd grade

Class begins after worship for both services.  Our teachers use a variety of methods and engaging curriculum to communicate basic Biblical truths and get the children personally involved in the lesson.

The LOFT (Living Our Fathers Truth): 3rd-5th grade

Class begins after worship for both services.  The LOFT uses an interactive lesson plan to really dive into the Word and solidify the base they were taught in the Heir Force Room. This age group is pivotal in that this is where a lot of children will come to a cross roads and make a decision to follow Jesus Christ and even get baptized.  This age group is encouraged to pray openly for each other in class.  On Wednesday evenings they join the Heir Force class.

Children’s Worship

We believe worship can and should be a powerful experience for the entire family.  Children are encouraged to participate in corporate worship in the sanctuary and will be dismissed by Pastor to their classes when our worship service is over.

Our Guidelines

The teachers and helpers are not responsible for any children left unattended in the hallways or classrooms before church starts. No children should be dropped off by parents unattended in any classroom for any reason. Parents should escort their children to and from class with the exception of the LOFT Classroom, where that will be left to the discretion of the parents. For safety reasons, children should not be permitted to run through the hallways of the church or engage in behavior that could cause damage to church property. While we love our children, as a courtesy to others, crying or disruptive children should be removed from the sanctuary so as to not interrupt the flow of the Holy Spirit, the speaker and those around you. Snack is provided for the children in some of our classrooms so please make the teachers aware of any food allergies.  In addition, if there are special needs they should be brought to the attention of the teacher so we may adequately serve the needs of individual children.
